Hi I'm Darren Thomas I am the owner and founder of Faster Fitness Solutions. I am fully qualified Sports Injury Therapist and Personal Trainer who specialises in helping people break free from pain and injury to get fitter stronger and healthier.

Unlike other physios, chiropractors and sports massage therapists I don't use a treatment table in any of my sesssions. Why??? Because I want to empower you with the tools to manage your pain and injury yourself. I really don't want you to develop a dependancy on me as a therapist by focusing on temporary passive treatments like massage, cupping, accupunture or joint manipulations. 


I understand that pain (especially chronic pain) is multi-faceted and is not always related to actual physical damage to our body's structures and tissues. I focus on helping you to make make sense of your pain and injury by helping you understand how lifestyle factors like stress, fear, sleep and diet might 
be contributing to your pain and holding back your recovery. I then help you put a plan in place to help manage and improve these lifestyle factors while working with you to develop a bespoke exercise and movement based rehab program that will enable you to take charge of your pain and injury long term and get your life back again. 

I really do see myself more as a coach than a therapist, which is why my service is far more holistic than any other offered in HD8 and the surrounding area. Although I do utilise some hands on therapy techniques to help you get started on your movement journey, for me it really isn't about trying to rub you better, sticking chines pins into you and tell you they are magic or trying to crack your bones back into place. As I said before it really is about you taking charge of your pain and injry by improving your lifestyle and overall health, which is why, unlike any other therapist around all my rehab coaching packages include the following...
  • ​Full in-depth assessment session where we get to the route cause of your pain and formulate a plan to help you out. 
  • 1 or 2 rehab/coaching sessions per week at my private studio 
  • Bespoke rehab/training plans designed around you, your goals, your available equipment and your lifestyle
  • Full nutrition, mindset and lifestyle coaching to help compliment your rehab and training
  • Direct contact with your coach so you can contact me via phone, email or Whats App any time for help and support.

PART 1: INITIAL PHONE CONVERSATION AND GOAL SETTING SESSION
This is where we sit down and find out about you and gather up all the relevant information we need to to help us understand as much as we possibly can about you, your current situation and look at ways I can help you out. 

​This is an in-depth chat where we look at things like past injury history, anything part of your daily life that might contribute to your pain, how you feel about your pain or injury and we also look into other things like nutrition and sleepand stress that may be playing a significant role.

We also use this time to help you set clear and achievable  goals to you get back to being pain free and help motivate you to be an active part of the process so you can fix yourself.

​PART 2: IN-DEPTH ASSESSMENT/TREATMENT SESSION
​After we have finished our screening conversation, it's time to get you into the gym to get started.
I then use the info from our phone call to design an assessment that is completely bespoke to you, your injury and your goals.  You will not be assessed based upon some kind of tick box system that may or may not have anything to do with the reason you are injured in the first place.

Instead, our assessments are free-flowing and organic in nature. They are completely based upon the information you provided us in the screening stage and are based upon identifying the route cause of your pain or injury.

​​This along with the information we gathered during the initial screening will be used to build your first home workout or treatment plan.

PART 3: TREATMENT/TRAINING SESSIONS
We want to get you on the road to a full recovery as fast as humanly possible. That is why I decided to include 1,2 or 3 weekly 1:1 coaching sessions into the program. So you get more bespoke treatment and training, more interaction with me as a coach and much better chance of success.

The treatment or training I provide is completely based upon your assessment and consultation and we always provide you with a small number exercises or drills so you can keep working on and getting results with your pain/injury in-between our sessions. 

These will be sent to you via video, complete with instructions so you know exactly what to do, for how long and for when.

​PART 4: HOW WE ENSURE YOUR SUCCESS

So unlike other rehab professionals, I know that your body is not just mechanical and there are a lot more factors we need to look into in order to help you become healthier, happier and to most importantly achieve all your goals.

That's why a big part of the program is focused on your overall health, your nutrition and your mindset. So on top of the live 1:1 sessions you will also receive full nutrition and mindset coaching. You will have anytime access to me as your coach via, email and whats app and you will have a wealth of resources to help you eat, drink and think your way to better pain free health.
